As an elected Board Trustee, I will make it a priority to continue to support the high academic standards for students held in the BOUSD. This includes encouraging increased use of technology and technology training for both staff and students. I will also provide valuable insight in planning for the future growth of the City and the changing educational needs of the students in Brea. I will remain passionate about maintaining safety and providing a quality environment that is optimally conducive to the academic success of our children. Last, but surely not least, I will continue to encourage strong involvement and support of the excellent teachers and phenomenal parents in the BOUSD to bring the best academic experience to our children.
Here is a brief summary of my goals as an elected Board Trustee:
- Develop a district wide blueprint for Brea's Educational Future.
- Insure that our graduates are prepared to compete on an international level.
- Establish a District wide commitment to a more challenging GATE program.
- Move the District towards a final resolution on the new Birch School site.
- Pursue a policy of "Best practices" for our most at risk students.
- Promote fiscally sound budget policies that place students first.
- Continue to promote and nurture our Professional Learning Communities.
